Congratulations to Emily Cumo (11th grade) and Leigha Henkel (10th grade) on their outstanding performances at the recent Sectional Bowling competition. Emily finished in 2nd place for Section 2 Class C Girl's High Triple with a 3 game pin total of 673 pins. Leigha finished in 3rd place for Section 2 Class C Girl's High Triple with a 3 game pin total of 611.
Both girls qualified for the Section 2 Composite State Championship Tournament Team. Leigha qualified with a 6 game pin total of 1,227 pins, and Emily qualified with a 6 game total of 1,222 pins. This is Leigha's second year competing at the state level.
The state team is made up of the six highest scorers out of all of Section II girls bowlers excluding members of the sectional winning school teams. This year's teams consist of members from Guilderland. Glens Falls, Colonie and TWO FROM HOOSIC VALLEY!
