March Character Counts

Students in PreK through fifth grade were reminded of how important self-control is to having a successful school day. Self-control means being able to regulate our own thoughts feelings and actions. It’s the ability we use to stop and think before making a decision so we can do what is best in the moment. Self-control is an important skill; we have to learn how to think about our behaviors so we can make the best choices possible.

Thank you to Mrs. Hastey’s third graders and Ms. Rizzo’s first graders for sharing their thoughts and feelings on self-control and making positive decisions. Our teachers shared the book “What were you Thinking” by Bryan Smith with the grade 3-5 assembly and the book “My Mouth is a Volcano” by Julia Cook at the PK-2 assembly.

Great job presenters and awesome listening skills were on display from the audience.  View Photos from our March Character Counts Assemblies.
