The New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal (NYSIR), the insurance provider of the Hoosic Valley School District, has generously donated $1,000 to the Hoosic Valley Backpack Program, administered by the Regional Food Bank of Northeast New York. The Back Pack Program helps alleviate child hunger by discreetly providing children with backpacks full of nutritious and easy-to-prepare food on Friday afternoons so they have food to eat throughout the weekend. This donation will provide for at least 5 children for one entire school year.
