While competing as members of the Indoor Track and Field team this winter, senior Riley Caiazza and junior Sophia Squires have added third names to the school record board.
Riley,a Wasaren League Champion and All Star and sectional runner up in the shot put broke the all time shot put record with a throw of 35’3” while qualifying to compete at the NYS Indoor Track and Field Championship Meet on March 4th the Ocean Breeze facility on Staten Island
Sophia, league and sectional champion in both the 1000m and 1500m runs this winter continued her assault on record book. Owner of the school outdoor record in the 3000m she has added indoor records in the 1000(3:15.74)1500 (4:59.63)and 3000m (11:16.53)runs while also gaining Wasaren League All Star status,
Joining them on the All Star team were senior Cameron Field and junior Ethan Sheldon. Cameron was runner up in the league 600m and joined Ethan , Alex Ruepp and Keegan Antolick on the second place 3200 relay team. Ethan finished 2nd in the 1600 m and 4th in the pole vault
Freshman Joni Chapko and Sarah Helen Mysliwiec gained sectional patches for their 3rd place finishes in the weight throw and the walk.
