USDA Free Meal Program (1)

USDA Free Meal Program
Posted on 02/19/2021

Just a reminder that the Hoosic Valley Central School District will be providing free breakfast and lunch to any student enrolled in the district through June 30, 2021. The costs to this program are funded through the United States Department of Agriculture.

Here are some highlights of this program:

  • It is available at NO COST to the children or their families/guardians.
  • It is available to ALL children, regardless of financial need.
  • There is plenty of funding, and your participation in this program will not “take” meals away from any other student.
  • It will save you precious time and resources on breakfast and lunch preparation!
  • It will bring federal dollars into our school food service program.

Despite the program being free to all students, we do encourage families that may be eligible for free and reduced meals to please fill out the free and reduced application.

The district will still continue to sell snacks, which may be purchased with account funds or cash.

If you have any questions on this program, please reach out to the Cafeteria Manager, Michelle Gillespie at (518) 753-4458 x 2516 or
mgillespie@hoosicvalley.k12.ny.us or School Business Administrator, Marc Iorio at (518) 753-4458 x 1502.
