On Thursday, August 20th lets gather together with PTO as a community; parents, caregivers, educators and administrators, to share our thoughts and feelings about the beginning of school this fall. Realizing that different families and children will experience reentry in a variety of ways, this event will allow for discussion about some of the emotions and behaviors that you are noticing within your family as we get closer to the start of the school year.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary school parking lot, bring a chair and let’s get to know each other better and work on building a foundation for a strong caring community moving forward. Together, yet socially distant, we can have a conversation and opportunity to share thoughts and fears that we all may have. Let’s take a look at how our children are feeling about returning to school and how we can better listen and understand their perspective. We want every child to feel as safe as possible.
