Posted on 05/11/2021

We are so excited to share that our AMAZING HOOSIC VALLEY Readers RAISED $10,535 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region! Our school placed second in totals raised by all the Capital District schools who participated this year. Wow! We are so proud of our students and how they used their reading superpowers to help support others during a difficult time. A big thank you to all who supported our PARP program and who sponsored students during this fundraiser. 📚❤️📚❤️📚

Remember to keep diving into great books and keep reaching out to spread kindness and a helping hand whenever you can! 💙🤍💙🤍

Posted 3/20/21:  Can you believe we've already completed three weeks of PARP? Time flies when you're having fun!  Our students have bee doing a great job completing their reading logs and their teachers have coordinated all kids of fun activities to go along with our Dive into reading theme to keep up the interest.

Students have raised over $7,000 so far to donate to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. We'd like to thank every one that's supported our students.  Your efforts have shown our students how important reading is and also important to help out those in need.  Both life long lessons.

We've added some pictures to our Dive into Reading photo album if you'd like to take a look!

Students that have completed their reading logs have put their raffle tickets in our prize fish tank.  Prizes will be drawn after April break giving everyone a chance to complete and turn in their logs. AND we have some great prizes to give out! Gift cards for ice cream, sporting activities and more.
