I want to let everyone know that as of the moment, the Hoosic Valley Central School District ( the High School and the Elementary School) will be open on Monday November 30th.
The people who had been in contact with the positive case are in quarantine and will not be in the building.
We have brought in CAMS Sanitize which is a service provided by Questar BOCES to assist our staff in cleaning and sanitizing the High School. This was done on Saturday Morning.
If these circumstances change, I will let you know immediately.

Original Posted 11/27: The Hoosic Valley Central School District (HVCSD) has been informed of a positive test result for COVID19 for a member of our non-instructional staff at the high school.
The HVCSD is working closely with the Rensselaer County Health Department (RCDOH) who is taking a lead role in the situation. We have identified three (3) people who have been in close or direct contact with this person. The HVCSD and the RCDOH will be making contact with these three people and informing them that they are to go into mandated quarantine for fourteen (14) days.
The people that will be contacted will need RCDOH clearance to return to the building.
The HVCSD will be implementing deep cleaning and disinfection of a potentially impacted area as per New York State Department of Health, Center for Disease Control and RCDOH guidelines.
We know that you would like more information but due to privacy laws we are not allowed to identify the person involved. Further details will be forthcoming as we get them.
