Third graders have completed their Lucy Caulkins Nonfiction Reading and Writing Units. In doing so, they have incorporated a wrap-up project, The Bottle Heads. Each student was required to read at least two different readings and take notes. Then the students categorized the notes into subjects and wrote up a final project. And the final step was creating their characters to go with their writeup!
