This Friday morning, we conducted our second Lockdown drill in both the Elementary and Junior-Senior High Schools, in conjunction with the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police.
Due to social distancing concerns, lockdown drills will look different this year. Under normal circumstances, students huddle in a portion of the room out of view. However, this year when the lockdown is announced students will remain at their desks. Teachers will review with students where they should huddle in the classroom in the event that an actual lockdown needs to be called.
