Lock Down Drill
Posted on 06/11/2021
A message from Elementary Principal Mr. Foti, June 11.......

The K-6 building conducted a lockdown drill this morning.
As you probably are aware, in accordance with our district safety plan, we conduct multiple drills each year, to enhance our ability to secure the exterior of the school as well as the classrooms in case of emergency.  As you know, emergencies come in various forms and our ability to be familiar with many kinds of procedures ensures that we will be prepared for any emergencies that might come our way.

The drill went very smoothly.  Our SRO, Deputy Manny assisted with the drill. Students were very cooperative, and everyone worked together during the drill. The date and time of this drill was not communicated in advance to faculty, staff, or students.

If your child has any concerns that they express to you following the drill please let your child’s teacher know, and we will follow-up with both you and your child to explain and reassure them.  We will contact you if your child voices any concern to us. If you have any questions about the drill, or about any of our other safety procedures, please feel free to call me at 518-753-4458 ext. 3501. Thank you for your ongoing support and cooperation.
