During the month of December, HV's School Social Worker, Janet Folkman and Christina Newton from Chrissy's Cravings partnered up to collect bedding for the local chapter of Sleep In Heavenly Peace (SHP). SHP is a National Non Profit organization entirely run by volunteers who build bunk beds for children in need of having a bed. The materials and labor are donated and the beds are delivered within a 50 mile radius of The Mechanicville Chapter. SHP is always in need of bedding; twn size comforter sets, sheets or pillows. Between the HV donations and Chrissy's customers, 22 comforter sets, 15 sheet sets and 10 pillows were donated! The SHP motto is "No Kid In Our Town Sleeps On The Floor" and the Hoosic Valley Community is making that happen!
