No Credible Threat Determined

We would like to make parents and guardians aware of a situation that occurred on our morning bus run today. A Student on one of our morning buses told other students that he had a gun in his backpack on the bus. With the assistance of our school resource officer, school staff immediately isolated and detained the student. No weapons were found.
At no time were the students in immediate danger, and the procedures we have in place allowed the situation to be handled with minimal disruption to the general student population, most of whom were not aware that the threat had been made.
