Environmental Club hosted a crayon collection in the elementary building and collected over 180 pounds to be recycled! Crayons build up in landfills when they could be recycled through great programs like the Crayon Initiative. The crayons collected will be sent off to be recycled into new crayons for children requiring extended hospital stays; a double win for all!
In case you missed the competition, crayons are still being collected year round by Environmental Club. A collection bin can be found outside of room 41 and in various places around the school.
