Vision Statement
Our educational technology vision is based on a foundation of producing life-long learners. The primary vision is
for students and teachers to become comfortable, efficient, and
responsible consumers of the technology that is currently available. It
is just as important, if not more so, that teachers and students become
self-motivated learners able to adapt to the dynamic new technologies
that are becoming increasingly accessible.
The
New York State Standards dictate curriculum, as well as the technology
literacy the students need to have upon leaving elementary school and
upon high school commencement. Teachers are expected to address these
standards in their classrooms for the obvious benefit of students,
themselves, and the community as a whole.
It
is the goal of this department to assist both teachers and students, as
we all seek to become better prepared to participate in today’s
dynamic, technologically literate society.
