Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope that you and your families are enjoying a safe and relaxing summer. We are writing to let you know that we will be holding a 7th Grade Orientation on Monday, August 22nd.
The schedule is as follows:
9:00-9:30–Students will arrive with their parents/guardians. They will receive their class schedules, a map of the building, and 7th grade supply lists.
9:30–We will hold a meeting in the Large Group Instruction Area. At this meeting we will discuss the opening of school, how to read class schedules, and introduce you to some of our staff members.
10:00-11:00–Students and their parents/guardians will be given the opportunity to tour the building. Student Council members will be available to give guided tours and answer questions.
We are aware that many people have end of summer travel plans or other commitments, so please know that this is not a mandatory event. Our main goal throughout September is to have all of our students get acclimated to the school setting. For our incoming 7th graders, that comes with the added uncertainty of starting the school year in a new building. Regardless of whether you are able to attend on August 22nd or not, we will continuously help our 7th grade students get used to their new routine during the early portion of the school year. If you are unable to attend the orientation but would still like to come into the building before school starts, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your family.
