National Junior Honor Society Induction
Posted on 06/02/2020
Congratulations to our eleven new members of the National Junior Honor Society. Students were selected by the faculty of our school for having successfully completed their candidacy and were inducted as a new member of our National Junior Honor Society chapter on Monday, June 1, 2020.  Our 2020 NJHS Inducters are Marie Ackerley, Tyler Beaudoin, Lainey Bochette, Hannah Coffin, Kayleigh Knickerbocker, Helen LeStage, Anna Grace Macica, Leslie Mayer, Abbigale Salisbury, Kaylee Smith, and Ella Waldron. Their applications displayed outstanding accomplishments in scholarship, character, leadership, and service. In lieu of our traditional induction ceremony, club advisor Janelle Johnson visited each new inductee and presented them with their certificate and pin as family and their pets cheered them on!

As members of the National Junior Honor Society, our students have a special responsibility, to live up to the standards our current members have set this year. Throughout the year, members of our chapter serve as role models for other students. In addition to the strong academic records which established eligibility for membership, our chapter members are leaders in many student organizations and we serve our school and community through many activities including cemetery clean-up, Halloween Game night for PTO, Schaghticoke food pantry, Military Mom In Action packing, 7th and 8th Grade dance, mentors to Elementary Students and other various volunteer work. We are proud of their record of accomplishment and welcome members who bring new energy in support of the continuing work of National Junior Honor Society members.
