Heroin/Opioid Overdose Prevention Training

Heroin/Opioid Overdose Prevention Training
Posted on 01/14/2020
The Opioid Overdose Prevention Training originally scheduled for this Thursday 1/16/2020 @ 7 PM has been cancelled due to low enrollment. As the district seeks to cultivate a safe environment for students and the local community, we may collaborate with Rensselaer County DOH to offer this in the future. If you have interest in taking this course at a later date, please contact School Business Administrator Marc Iorio ([email protected]) with preferred days and times and we may reschedule.

Originally posted 1/6/2020: In our efforts to support the district’s goals of continuing positive collaborative relationships with families and cultivating a safe environment for students and staff, the Hoosic Valley Central School District has partnered with the Rensselaer County Department of Health to present a FREE training on Heroin/Opioid Overdose prevention. Each individual will learn signs and symptoms of a heroin and opioid overdose, how to use a NARCAN kit and receive a free Intranasal Naloxone Kit.
