The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) will be given at Hoosic Valley Jr/Sr High School on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Seniors is considering an Early Action/Early Decision application to college this fall and they have not taken the SAT or want to take it again, should consider sitting for the August SAT Exams. The deadline for online registration is July 27, 2018. Late registration is available until August 15 with additional fees.
What students needs to complete registration:
1.
Sign in to free College Board. Your parent or counselor can’t register foryou.
2. Provide your full, legal name and other identifying information. Make sure it’s the exact same name and information shown on your photo ID.
3. Decide if you want to answer other questions about yourself. This takes time, but it’s worth it if you want colleges and scholarship organizations to find you.

4. Decide whether to sign up for the SAT with Essay.
See which colleges recommend or require it.
5. Upload a photo that meets very specific
photo requirements.
6. Check out, and print your Admission Ticket.
7. Credit Card for Fees - SAT $47.50, SAT with Essay $64.50

The SAT are given monthly at various locations around the capital district - a full schedule is listed at sat.org. Not all colleges require the SAT - please check with each college’s admissions office to verify application requirements. Summer time is a great opportunity to visit college campuses - many offer several different types of visits and tours. Check their website for more information.
