Community Education

The Hoosic Valley Community Education Program is a project directed by the District's Long Range Strategic Planning Team to provide a service to the Hoosic Valley community and to encourage involvement in the education of all age groups. This program has been designed to connect talented instructors with community members interested in continuing their learning experience. The program is open to residents and non-residents. To help in the expansion of this program, we welcome ideas on new classes and invite anyone interested in teaching a class to contact the Community Education Program at 753-4450, ext. 1106.

The community ed programs is taking a “greener” approach to advertising their programs. This fall they will not be mailing home their brochure - instead it will be available throughout the community and on this site. Click here for a copy of the fall brochure.

ZUMBA Community Ed Class
Just in time to help with those New Year’s Resolutions!

Our next Zumba session will start January 4th.  It will be $72 for 8 sessions.  You may attend either Monday nights, Wednesday nights or both nights.  We hope this provides some flexibility with everyone’s busy schedules.  Classes will be held in the elementary gym at 7:30.  If you’re not sure if this is for you stop by on January 4th to try a free demo class.

Participants may either pre-register with Jill Galarneau or sign-up at the first class they attend.  Please arrive 10-15 minutes early if you have not pre-registered. Remember to wear comfortable workout clothes, sneakers or studio shoes and bring water to replenish.

Still not sure what Zumba is -well this dynamic, exercise class is a “feel happy” workout that is great for both the mind and body. Zumba combines high energy and motivational Latin/International music with unique moves and combinations. It is based on the principle that a workout should be “FUN AND EASY TO DO”. Come join us for an hour of fun and fitness, no dance experience necessary!
